Busy man working with baby - work-life balance

Amidst all those responsibilities, you spread yourself thin…

You fill every spare minute with tasks and “doing” makes you feel productive.

But deep inside, you wish you could spend more time with the things you love…”being” with your family, enjoying your hobbies, or simply relaxing.

If you’re like me and have ever felt guilty about hitting the pause button, I’ve got good news.

But you don’t have to be an athlete to take a page from their book. You, too, can perform at your best by integrating rest, recovery, and reflection into daily life.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a stress reduction programme based on intensive experiential mindfulness training. It is now the most scientifically tested and well-established secular mindfulness meditation programme in the world.

By participating in the MBSR course, you gain a practical understanding of:

  • The role of perception in stress reactivity and how you can shift it to change your perspective.

  • How the body shows up in stress so you can respond more intentionally.

  • Mindful communication for better relationships at work and with those you care about most.

  • Active listening so you have deeper and more meaningful interactions with others.

  • Lifestyle choices that support a mindful life so you build positive habits that optimise wellbeing.

Change your relationship to stress so it works for you - not against you.

"I’ve found MBSR to be a real game changer, and I’ve come out of it certainly happier, more content, less anxious than I’ve felt in a long time. I’ve come away from the course with an established mindfulness practice that I look forward to and enjoy. I also notice that I go about my day with much greater awareness and appreciation. I certainly feel more steady and grounded.”

“I learnt so much about myself and how I react to things. I learnt how I could use mindfulness to better manage those reactions. My biggest take away was that there is no set formula on how to be mindful. It is an intimate, personal thing that we can all do no matter our lifestyles or personalities. Thank you Jacqui!!"

— Bren Dickens @chronic_wellbeing

"I really enjoyed this course, particularly the half day silent retreat! The emphasis on a compassionate approach makes it very accessible, and there is a good balance of theory, practice and group discussion. Jacqui is a very inclusive guide and the materials provided were useful to support practice outside the structured sessions. I definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to deepen their mindfulness practice".

What is mindfulness? And how does it help to build resilience for everyday life?

Mindfulness is present moment awareness. It is from this place that you can choose more empowered responses to life’s stressors. Rather than reacting from autopilot, you learn to pause and behave in a way that aligns with who you want to be.

Our mindfulness training helps you to recognise and transform habitual stress reactivity patterns. You cultivate a heightened sense of awareness so you can make better choices that move you forward in all areas of life.

Practising mindfulness with us improves your ability to sit with thoughts, sensations, and emotions that are pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral. When unpleasant experiences show up in life, you’ll be equipped to navigate them without overwhelm and stress.
